Notes

1. The minimum Solaris operating system is Solaris 10 8/07.
2. System Board details are not available in a Bill of Materials.
3. System Board FRU 540-7779 includes a mounting tray, three PCI Express Risers,
   two 250-1802 Cleaning Wipes, and two 310-0065 Thermal Grease Syringes.
4. The System Board changed from 540-7323 to 540-7779 in August 2009.
5. Access to the System Board busbar screws is blocked by the CPU0 heatsink. Removal
   of the CPU0 heatsink during the Power Distribution Board replacement procedure is
   required. Clean and re-grease the heatsink with Thermal Grease Kit F350-1271-01.
   The kit includes Cleaning Wipe 250-1802 and a ShinEtsu X23-7783D Thermal Grease
   syringe. The kit is not included with the PDB.

Disk Drive Backplane Cabling Notes

1. Install up to eight SAS Disk drives in the Sun Fire X4150.
2. Install up to sixteen SAS Disk drives in the Sun Fire X4250.
3. Use X4150 cable kit 540-7364 to connect to an SAS Host Bus Adapter.
4. Use X4250 cable 530-4082 to connect to an SAS Host Bus Adapter.

Firmware Notes

1. MirrorBit Flash code at U97 and U99 do not have Sun part numbers.
2. MAXII CPLD code at U61 does not have a Sun part number.
3. BIOS code at U136 does not have a Sun part number.

Memory Notes

1. Install memory in matched pairs.
2. Memory FRUs include two matched DIMMs.
3. Sun Fire X4150 and X4250 DIMMs are not labeled with the FRU part number.
4. Install the largest capacity memory in the lowest numbered slots.
5. Install the first DIMM pair in slots A0/B0. Install the second pair in slots C0/D0.
6. Install additional memory in slots A1/B1, C1/D1, A2/B2, C2/D2, A3/B3, and C3/D3.
